A macroeconomist is more than impressed!
We are head over heels to be a part of 2018 Annual Meeting of the German Association for Demography (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Demographie) in Cologne. Even though the macroeconomics and the demography seems to be a distant area of research, it turns out that we all speak the same language of science (German though). We're more than impressed by the research presented during the conference and the variety of application of statistical methods in different scientific fields: sociology, psychology and of course demography.
We presented our research on the assessment of the effects of raised fertility for public budget and individual welfare, assuming that the policies aiming to boost the fertility are effective and people actually have more children. Such model seems to be relevant in the times of increasing expenditures on family policies not only in Poland but also in other EU countries.
Bis bald!
