If you ever wonder if research is for you and would like to have `hands-on’ experience,
if you are responsible and systematic - and you like (and can) work in a team,
if you know something about statistics, micro, and/or macroeconomics - and you enjoy learning
then we invite you to apply for a
research internship
We are looking for people who finished the second year in economics, mathematics, or a related field. Everyone will find something for themselves: from experimental economics, through data analysis (big data) to theory and macroeconomic models.
We offer:
- Research mentoring by experienced scientists from Poland and around the world. You can discuss with them your scientific plans, bachelor’s or master's thesis, and more.
- Research replicability is crucial in science, which is why we strive to automate scientific work. Working with us, you will acquire new skills (programs and methods) that will make writing a Master's or Bachelor's thesis all the easier.
- The research internship obviously guarantees the completion of the student internship.
- The working schedule can be adjusted to meet your needs.
- We publish op-eds every week in Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, nothing prevents your text from joining the series GRAPE|Tłoczone z danych.
- Competitive salary, individually negotiated
Send us a CV, transcript of your grades, and an essay/report to grape@grape.org.pl. We are looking for people who like to study and are systematic, which is why we ask you for your grades. But no need for excessive formality: a printout from USOS or Wirtualny Dziekanat is enough. We ask you for an essay because we want to know how you put your thoughts together. You can hare with one of your project/ BA thesis/ MA thesis or you can as an economist, argue for or against one of the following statements: (1) Studying is first and foremost a signal to your employer; (2) Robots will replace workers, and almost everyone will be unemployed. The essay should be around 800 words long and preferably in English.
