Three projects are looking for new team members

GRAPE is looking for candidates interested in joining the team. We are interested in candidates who have interest in applied economics. Knowledge of English is a must. We intend to hire four part-time assistants (the work load for each is about 20 hours a week), for the projects:

  • Cultural goods as experience goods  led by dr A. Kukla-Gryz. Prior experience with STATA will be an advantage. Candidates interested to fill this position should also be willing and able to actively operate an institutional FB account.
  • Privatization led by dr  J. Hagemejer. Prior experience with STATA will be an advantage.
  • Modelling incomplete rationality in retirement decisions led by dr  J. Tyrowicz. Candidates should be willing to learn programming in Fortran/Matlab as well as solving general equilibrium models (fun stuff!)

The tasks of the assistant consist of data management, coding, data analysis and review of literature as well as drafting components of scientific articles and non-technical posts for project blog. We offer  a scholarship (“stypendium") which amounts gross to 1500 or 1900 PLN (depending on  project, for one part-time position per month), with expected contract duration up to 3 years (may be extended, subject to successful cooperation and obtaining new funding).
